OPEN MAT - With Amie Williamson

Picture
Sunday 12th April 10:00-11:00

Amie’s yoga journey began a number of years ago when she was studying Health Psychology in Cardiff. From the very beginning she was drawn to the strength, balance and sense of focus that yoga offered, and in particular loved the flowing movement of vinyasa style classes.

Last year Amie felt inspired to deepen her practice and returned to her first yoga teacher, Becky Szwandt, to complete the yoga teacher training course at Robyn’s studio. This experience allowed Amie to reconnect with where her journey began, while also expanding her understanding of yoga beyond the physical practice. Amie particularly enjoys exploring the philosophy of yoga alongside its powerful benefits for both mental and physical health.
Amie’s classes are vinyasa flow in style and designed to be welcoming for all levels. She offers variations and options throughout, so whether you’re looking to build strength, improve balance, or simply enjoy moving your body, you can find the level that suits you. Her aim is to create classes that help you move your body, feel good and have fun.

Open Mat sessions are just £6 to attend and give newly qualified teachers who have graduated from our yoga teacher training the opportunity to gain experience teaching at the studio. £5 from each booking goes directly to the teacher.

Picture
Sunday 26th April 10:00-11:30

A special monthly 90-minute class, with each session led by a different teacher. Every instructor brings their own unique style and expertise, ensuring an exceptional and enriching experience.

Samuel Gimson is a multifaceted artist and yogi who blends mindful movement with soulful expression. His journey into yoga began in 2015 as a way to recover from injury, but quickly evolved into a much deeper exploration of the practice, leading him to complete his 300 hour training in India in 2023.
Now working towards his 500 hour certification, Samuel teaches Hatha, Vinyasa and Pranayama, creating spaces that invite personal transformation both on and off the mat.
Alongside his teaching, Samuel is also a spoken word artist, using poetry and music to explore the human experience, from spirituality to shadow work. His work is raw, reflective, and deeply resonant, with a vision to bring together yoga and live performance in a powerful and unique way.

OPEN MAT - with Gemma Howard

Picture
Sunday 10th May 10:00-11:00

Having grown up dancing, my yoga practice began a few years ago whilst I was a student, when I attended classes as a way to challenge myself during an extended period of ill-health, but the habit quickly stuck. I took advantage of the variety of offerings in the yoga community in Manchester and soon decided that I wanted to be able to pay forward the sense of relaxation, connection, and enjoyment I had found through yoga.
After moving back to Wiltshire last year, I initially completed yin yoga training, before beginning my yoga teacher training with Becky at Robyn's Yoga Studio. The training has been incredibly fulfilling, and I have already found planning and delivering classes to be a rewarding creative outlet, so aim to provide a friendly, non-judgemental space, where people can explore the options and progressions offered in my flows.

Open Mat sessions are just £6 to attend and give newly qualified teachers who have graduated from our yoga teacher training the opportunity to gain experience teaching at the studio. £5 from each booking goes directly to the teacher.

Sunday 17th May 10:00-11:15

Join Lottie for a slow Sunday morning Yin practice. With props for support, we'll gently move through a sequence of longer-held shapes to access deeper tissues and layers within the body – restoring the smooth flow of Qi, easing tension, and shifting energetic stagnancy. Attuned to the energy of spring, this calm, spacious, and grounding class is designed to cultivate a sense of balance and renewal. Perfect for anyone curious about experiencing the rejuvenating qualities Yin.

OPEN MAT - With Claire Woodhouse

Picture
Sunday 14th June 10:00-11:00

I've been a yoga student for over 25 years and working as a secondary school teacher for the same time, so am really excited to now combine these two skill sets and teach yoga lessons. My classes blend nearly 30 years of Iyengar yoga experience – a deep understanding of asanas and how to support and adapt with props –  with elements of vinyasa flow for greater expression. Through focusing on yoga for strength and balance in the body, my aim is for students to develop their own understanding of how to establish this for the mind also.
I teach a regular community class, accessible for all levels of experience. I suggest adaptations to the poses so each student can find a variation which offers a level of challenge suitable to their requirements for that lesson.
I also enjoy practising yoga outdoors – contrasting the freedom of this experience with the more disciplined (and comfortable!) experience of an indoors class.

Open Mat sessions are just £6 to attend and give newly qualified teachers who have graduated from our yoga teacher training the opportunity to gain experience teaching at the studio. £5 from each booking goes directly to the teacher.

What Our Clients Are Saying

I visited Robyn’s studio for the first time yesterday and I’m wondering why I left it so long. Not having done a in-person yoga class since before COVID I was nervous, but Robyn put me at ease and when I struggled with some of the poses, she quietly suggested ways to adapt the poses, so I was more comfortable.

The place feels so cosy and inviting, even better than it looks in the photos if that's possible. The session was just what my mind and body needed - I can’t wait to go again.

Thank-you.
